About the host/producer/executive director of SU4R
Richie Satori, originally from PG County Maryland, is a comedian, actor, Certified Addiction Recovery Empowerment Specialist & executive director/producer/host of Stand-Up 4 Recovery Comedy Productions. Since 2016 he’s shared his story of addiction & mental health recovery in his stand-up storytelling show, ‘Circus Still In Town’ at Fringe Theater Festivals across the country, including off Broadway. For Satori over the past 12 years, recovery and comedy have gone hand in hand.
As a comedian, Satori was named one of Comedy Hypes’ Hot 100 comics to watch & won ‘What’s Your Story’, filmed live at the Comedy Cellar’s sister club, FBP in NYC. Satori was Catch A Rising Star’s 1st runner up on ‘Catch a New Rising Star’. He has
also been featured multiple times on Kenan Thompson Presents. Satori has appeared in sketches with Funny Marco, Mope Williams, Chris Jones & Kountry Wayne. He trained at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts for Acting. On TV, he’s appeared opposite Kate Mara on Hulu/FX ‘Class of ’09’, directed by Joe Robert Cole, writer of Black Panther.
